An important juncture of the Executive MBA Program is the Summer Module taking place on our Budapest campus. The module gathers more than 200 participants from three successive Executive MBA cohorts, which allows us to offer a wide palette of electives in partnership with the CEU Alumni Relations Office.
Furthermore, virtually all our electives are taught once every three years, which means that each Executive MBA student has a different choice of electives during their first, second and third summer module.
To further add to the diversity and vibrancy of our summer modules and to connect the current Executive MBA Participants with CEU’s vast alumni community, we offer our MBA alumni an opportunity to take a select elective alongside CEU Executive MBA participants.
CEU alumni from other programs can also participate, if they have at least eight years of work experience and three years of leadership experience.
The alumni fee for participating in a 1.5 credit interactive course, involving 900 minutes of in-class time and at least twice as much of preparation and teamwork, is 1,900 euro, including a 400 euro Course Commitment Fee, and all applicable taxes. The fee does not include the cost of commute to and accommodation in Budapest but alumni can take advantage of our AA/LH-CEU Discount Program as well as the offers of our Partner Hotels.
CEU Alumni will receive a Moodle (course management system) account and be assigned to an Executive MBA Support Team for the course.
To ensure the level of commitment needed to maintain the quality of our offering, a 400 euro deposit will be requested from alumni taking the electives as part of the offering. The Course Commitment Fee is refundable, in the form of a discount code to be used for booking future electives on this site, for every participant who:
1. attends at least 80% of the class sessions (unless for a bona fide emergency)
2. after being evaluated by the instructor based on the same criteria as the current Executive MBA students, receives a total course score equivalent to the grade of B+ or higher.
In 2021, alumni participating in the CEU Alumni Course Offering will benefit from an option to choose their mode of participation: on-site in Budapest or online. The mode of participation does not affect the registration price and can be chosen and updated freely until the start of the module.
