International: 'Press Freedom' Fellowship with support from Presseclub Concordia for outstanding professionals in the media industry
CEU Executive MBA 'Press Freedom' Fellowship with support from Presseclub Concordia for outstanding professionals in the media industry
In 2021, CEU Executive MBA Program established a highly competitive, merit-based 'Press Freedom' fellowship for outstanding professionals in the media industry.
In all democratic countries, the future role of the media as an avenue for such democratic accountability is threatened by a myriad of technological and political changes. In that environment, highest levels of strategic and operational skill and competence in media management competences become the critically important success factor for the survival of independent media organizations, and – as such – for the healthy development of democracy.
The winner of the Fellowship will receive up to 50 percent reduction of the full CEU Executive MBA tuition of EUR 25.000. The fellowship will be awarded to a professional working in a broadly understood media/creative sector, working for an organization with a proven record of contributing to open and honest public debate.
Applicant should have at least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of documented leadership/managerial experience, an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification and who apply for the August 2021 intake of the CEU Executive MBA program via the regular application form.
"It's been said that where the press is free, all is safe. The CEU Executive MBA 'Press Freedom' Fellowship seeks an accomplished media executive who has dedicated their professional life to media freedom and choice,"
points out Prof. Maciej Kisilowski, Faculty Co-Director of CEU Executive MBA.
Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis. The Selection Committee reserves the right to choose awardees before the application deadline of June 6, 2021.
