CEU Executive MBA Fellowship for Promoting Social Mobility in Germany
In December 2019, CEU Executive MBA Program established a highly competitive, merit-based Fellowship for an outstanding professional in Germany who exemplifies the promise of social mobility.
Despite its overall economic success, Germany lags among developed nations in terms of social mobility. According to OECD, it takes as many as six generations for Germans from low-income families to reach the country's average income; the analogous figure in Denmark is just two generations. The CEU Executive MBA Fellowship aims to support and reward an outstanding professional in Germany who exemplifies the promise of social mobility.
The winner of the Fellowship will receive up to 50 percent reduction of the full CEU Executive MBA tuition of EUR 25.000. The fellowship will be awarded to a manager or entrepreneur, who has succeeded in breaking through socio-economic barriers and challenges in Germany and who is a current resident of that country.
Applicant should have at least 8 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years of documented leadership/managerial experience, an undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification and who apply for the August 2021 intake of the CEU Executive MBA program via the regular application form.
"Glass ceilings exist to be broken. The CEU Executive fellowship is targeted at managers and leaders who has confronted social barriers to professional success and overcome them,"
points out Prof. Yusaf Akbar, Faculty Co-Director of CEU Executive MBA.
Applications will be reviewed and considered on a rolling basis. The Selection Committee reserves the right to choose awardees before the application deadline of June 6, 2021.
