Textbook: Data Analysis for Business, Economics, and Policy to Be Published May 6

The pioneering new textbook Data Analysis for Business, Economics, and Policy by Gábor Békés and Gábor Kézdi is due to be published May 6 by Cambridge University Press. The textbook, already used in all our master's programs, breaks brand new ground in teaching the art of modern data analytics.

University Doctoral Awards for PhD Students

The Department congratulates two of its PhD students for winning this year's CEU Award for Advanced Doctoral Students.

István Boza in our PhD in Economics program received the award for his outstanding knowledge in economics and ability to support economic analysis with empirical evidence. He also has great skills in handling large-scale datasets and estimating complex econometric models. In his research, István addresses very important and policy-relevant questions.

MS in Finance Team Places Third in CFA Society Hungary Research Challenge

The Department congratulates the MS in Finance team for finishing third in the 2021 CFA Society Hungary Research Challenge.

The team comprised Arsalan Aiakov, Lulu Chen, Augustine Eziefule and Sevara Kamolova. They achieved this excellent result while balancing study and work at the same time. The team were mentored by Laura Ipacs.
