Adam Szeidl Named Fellow of the Econometric Society

The Econometric Society has announced the election of 46 new Fellows of the Econometric Society.

The new electees include Professor Adam Szeidl, an applied microeconomist who has done research on the economics of networks, international trade, behavioral economics and consumption. Professor Szeidl has published extensively in Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica and Journal of Finance, among other journals.

Peter Hangartner Fellowship Recipient 2020

The Department congratulates Alisher Batmanov for receiving the Peter Hangartner Fellowship prize in 2020. The Fellowship is awarded annually to an outstanding second-year student in the MA in Economics program who earns the highest GPA during his/her first year of studies.

Botond Kőszegi publishes in Quarterly Journal of Economics

The paper Choice Simplification: A Theory of Mental Budgeting and Naive Diversification co-authored by Professor Botond Kőszegi has been published in the February issue of the Quarterly Journal of Economics.

Quarterly Journal of Economics is the top-ranked journal in economics with an impact factor of 11.775. It is one of 33 World Elite 4* journals in the CABS Academic Journal Guide, and one of 50 journals used in the Financial Times Research Rank.
