CEU Economics Students win NET 2016

The Department of Economics proudly shares the success of Zsófia Kőműves and Barna Elek Szabó who finished as the winners of 1st and joint 2nd prize at the New Economic Talent Competition 2016 organized by Cerge-EI.

Zsófia's 1st prize Paper discusses "The Effect of Incarceration on Labor Market Outcomes in Hungary" whereas Barna's Paper on "Short-term Trading and Informational Cascades in Financial Market" was awarded joint 2nd place along with Michal Soltes from Charles University (Paper title: Optimal Unemployment Insurance, Distance to Frontier, and Endogenous Growth Model)
