The data analysis book by Gábor Békés and Gábor Kézdi quickly became an international success, recommended by several Nobel laureates. The book is notable because it allows anyone to start from scratch while immediately diving into real and problematic data. It explores questions like who the best football coach is in the English Premier League or the Hungarian county league, why companies can’t just hire a few brilliant mathematicians, and the role of AI in data analysis. The first part of the book was recently published in Hungarian, prompting an interview with co-author Gábor Békés.
