The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2021, released May 27 by ShanghaiRanking, ranks CEU in the global Top 200 in three subjects.
The pioneering new textbook Data Analysis for Business, Economics, and Policy by Gábor Békés and Gábor Kézdi is newly published by Cambridge University Press. The textbook, already used in all our master's programs, breaks brand new ground in teaching the art of modern data analytics.
We are pleased to welcome our new colleague, Assistant Professor Tímea Laura Molnár in the Department of Economics and Business.
Tímea obtained her PhD from the Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia in 2017. She is a graduate of CEU's MA in Economics research program. She joined CEU from the economic consulting firm Analysis Group in Montreal.
The Econometric Society has announced the election of 46 new Fellows of the Econometric Society.
The new electees include Professor Adam Szeidl, an applied microeconomist who has done research on the economics of networks, international trade, behavioral economics and consumption. Professor Szeidl has published extensively in Quarterly Journal of Economics, American Economic Review, Econometrica and Journal of Finance, among other journals.
