It is with great pleasure that we are announcing the recipients of the Academic Awards for Doctoral Students for the Academic year 2010/11.
By the decision of the University Doctoral Committee the following Doctoral Students received awards:

CEU PhD awardees selected

The Department would like to congratulate two of our PhD students, who have succeeded in winning this year's CEU doctoral awards.

The Department has nominated Dzsamila Vonnak for the Academic Achievement Award for First-Year Doctoral Students based on her outstanding GPA, and for her extensive teaching activity at our and other institutions, as well.

We have also nominated Aniko Biro for the Advanced Doctoral Student Award in an acknowledgment of her high GPA and remarkable research and teaching activity.

First Hungarian accredited PhD diploma awarded

The first Hungarian accredited PhD degrees were awarded to Attila Kincses and Zsombor Cseres-Gergely in November, 2010.

 

The Doctoral School in Economics at CEU was launched in 2000/2001. The program has been accredited in the US since the beginning, its Hungarian accreditation took place in 2005.

Olga Radzyner Award

In 2010, Katarína Lukácsy , 5th year Economics PhD student won the Olga Radziner award for her paper titled "Price Setting Mechanisms from the Perspective of the European Economic Integration".

The Olga Radzyner Award is an Award for Scientific Work on European Economic Integration, bestowed on young economists from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe.
